Hugo Nomination time again. I'm eligible for The DervishHouse. Everyone's doing this, so though it feels hideously immodest, may I remind you that it's |
Also, Long form editors: the mighty Lou Anders at Pyr and our Dark Lord Simon (Darth) Spanton at Gollancz.
That is all.
The Dervish House was utterly brilliant. Thank you for writing it.
good luck on getting nominated. :)

Dervish House and other...
Loved Dervish House... definitely deserves the Hugo. That work led me to River of Gods (almost as good!!) but the music there has me curious. You left a list at the end of the work (kindle edition) of music from the novel, any chain you'd create a playlist or such on iTunes for folks to download. For once there are a few groups even I'm with which not 100% familiar!!!
Best of luck wiht the nomination, and you cartainly get my vote (halfway through The Dervish House and loving it!).
Also: congratulations on topping the RUSA list of the American Library Association
in the science fiction category!
A nomination and a win would be well deserved. Anyone who knows what they're talking about realizes you're one of the best writers currently putting pen to paper, and this new book doesn't disappoint at all. It's maddening to have seen the Nebula noms come out and what they had on it, though I'm not sure if Dervish House is eligible for this one or the next. We all know which novel really was the best of the year. You have my vote and my wallet--I'll be picking up whatever you put in print. Keep up the fantastic work.
thank you... I was lucky enough to be a Nebula nominee for Brasyl back a while, which was very much appreciated. Glad you enjoyed thebook. I'l try and keep the surprises coming.
