[info]ramtops and I have tickets booked for Galway. Only trouble is, we've still not had confirmation that the gig's going to happen…

A Google later, it appears to be confirmed at the Radisson Hotel. That does sound like an odd venue, but we'll see, and it's a handy excuse to visit Co. Galway anyhow :)

If you haven't been to Galway before, it's a great place, especially in the summer, when it has a rather fun old hippy vibe. There's a great fish and chip shop.

We stayed a week in Connemara last time we were in Ireland, just coming up to four years ago (which feels wrong; it can't be that long ago). Haven't been in Galway itself for [mumble] years.

If you're in Glasgow, let us know when and we'll see about coming over from Embra to buy you a pint.

Wow. You do feel the envy! I've never seen 'em live. They don't tour way out here. Damn. Hope you have a ball, though, and that the show's fantastic.

Is the big round building at the end of Sauchiehall Street. The Waterfront is a mini-me.
